All This Walking Makes Me Hungry!

There is much to report this week since there have been a few firsts!  Walking and self-feeding! If I don't say so myself, I am exceptionally good at pulling myself up at the walker and walking around the playroom.  When I am on the hardwood floors it's a bit more challenging, but I am getting really good at walking by myself and it's really fun!  I haven't taken too many spills either, which is great for my head!

I'm not sure what made Mommy think I was ready to try feeding myself, but I am ready!  Without much practice at all I have mastered feeding myself puffs!  Although I have no teeth to eat them with, I'm good at mashing and gumming until I can swallow the puffs.  As long as I only have one puff on my tray (more than one is too distracting) I can manage to get it into my fingers and push it into my mouth!

On Monday, Daddy was home for the MLKJr holiday - and it was nice having him around!  It was warm out so we went to the playground and Mommy got some good shots of me.  I'm glad we went out then because the rest of the week was COLD!  We didn't get out much after that.  I do hope it gets warm soon because I don't like going to the mall with Mommy and Cora - I cry when we have to walk around that place!

Photo Montage Fun

This week was for the most part dreary, rainy and cold enough that we did not make it out that much.  Because of that Mommy was snapping pictures of me at every opportunity.  I get into a lot of things these days, so it's fun to take pictures of me.  As I have been mentioning, I really love to stand, wherever I am.  I especially like to stand at the bookshelf and sort through all the books - this is the first photo montage.  The next one is of me sitting on the couch and Daddy making faces at me.  I really get a kick out of people acting silly! 

My First Haircut!

This week I got my first haircut!!!  I was so annoyed with it constantly in my eyes and I think Mommy could tell.  Sometimes when crawling around and I spit up, I accidentally drag my hair in it. So, one night in the bathtub, they cut my hair off - not too much, but enough so that I can see now!  If I don't say so myself, I think I look pretty dashing, and it looks like I bleached my hair too!

I'm still keeping up with the drooling too.  I don't think Mommy and Daddy thought I could drool any more than I already did, but today when we went for a walk, by the time we got home the entire front of my shirt was soaked, and I mean soaked!  After I eat dinner and I sit at the table with everyone else, I get to play with Sofie the Giraffe and she is usually soaked only after a few minutes!  Those teeth have GOT to be on their way out!!!

The past week I have been spending a lot of time on my feet.  I absolutely love to be standing, whether its at the couch, leaning on Mommy, in Cora's chair, at the piano in the playroom (or pino as Cora calls it), in front of the mirror, or at the book shelf.  Really, anywhere I can lift up, I'm there.  In addition to spending time on my feet, I'm still chewing and drooling.  We had a bit of a false alarm two weeks ago.  I still do not have any teeth, as Mommy and Daddy had previously thought.  Oh well, one of these days.  In other news, Cora is being a great big sister, although I don't see much of her because she has been in the bathroom so much potty training.  She is good at hugging and kissing me before naptime and bed.  She also does a fairly good job pushing me in the stroller during walks, although I will say she has trouble keeping me on the sidewalk- we are always driving off into the grass.
