Mimi and Papa NC Adventure

We had a really busy, really fun few days when Mimi and Papa came to visit. The fun started with a picnic lunch at the airport observation deck before we picked them up. We had a good afternoon enjoying beautiful weather at the park. On Thursday we went to Pullen Park where we got to enjoy the amusements before a picnic lunch and Marbles Museum! Mimi took me around the museum. My favorite part was of course the bus, but I also enjoyed the veterinarian office, supermarket and the hockey rink. We were all exhausted by the end of the day, so exhausted that we needed the day off on Friday! Little did I know what was in store for Saturday.
We had a beach day! The beach was much more much fun this time! I spent most of the day jumping in the crashing waves! Luckily, Mimi and Papa were there so there were extra people to help lift me above the waves when they would crash. Mimi and Mommy were lifting me at first and every time I went over a wave I would say, "I love the Carolina Beach!" I did that most of the morning, then by the end of the day I could jump in the waves almost all by myself. Mommy was astounded to see a pocket full of sand in my bathing suit. That means my beach trip was a success! We went out to a restaurant after we cleaned up at the beach and I inhaled my dinner I was so hungry from my beach day! Mommy and Daddy were happy to see me eating so diligently! Papa was certain that Cora and I would pass out once we got back in the car to drive home, but I outlasted him by a good hour before I fell asleep.
If I thought we needed the day off on Friday, did we ever need Sunday to recover! We enjoyed a fun excursion to the waterfall and went fishing for sticks that Papa was throwing in the water before it got hot out and we enjoyed some inside activities. Building Lincoln Log houses with Papa is especially fun! On Monday we enjoyed the morning at the swimming pool showing Mimi and Papa all of our tricks before we had to leave and take Mimi and Papa to the airport.
Mimi and Papa couldn't believe how we just go go go no matter where we go or what we do. I'm impressed that they could keep up with us, and that made for a fun visit!

Truly a Little Man

Ever since my 4th birthday, I've been trying to act more and more my age. I've been trying to sleep better including not running into the rails to that I can get a bigger bed without rails. I can drive my tractor around with my trailer and load it up with all the things I need to do outdoor work. And today I proved my 32.2 lbs, 30.25 inches of little manliness at the doctor. I was very well behaved, showed off my muscles to the nurse and endured 4 shots, two in each thigh! My only issues were walking up steps and I couldn't handle the bandaids (even though they had superheroes on them). I didn't want them on, and I disliked each one that Mommy ripped off even worse. Okay, so maybe I have a few areas to work on, but I am still just an adorable 4 year old.
