Learning and Playing

I love to learn! And play! At school this week, we made a kitty cat! And, I don't just learn at school. Cora teaches me so much at home. Sometimes I learn from her asking Mommy and Daddy lots of questions, and other times she actually teaches me. The other day, Mommy hung a calendar in her room and she started teaching me songs to learn the months of the year and days of the week. When she's not teaching me, she is constantly asking what words start with and how to spell them. Hopefully this will help me learn the alphabet!
When it comes to playtime, this week we got to use our rain boots outside! We have been practicing with our boots inside running around the house which is fun; splashing in puddles outside after the rain is even better! My pants were soaked by the time we got home from our puddle splashing adventure at the pond! Daddy was pleased to see that my pants were wet from playing, rather than having an accident!

Let the Sun Shine!

Daddy teaches me how to cast the line with my new fishing rod!
After a gloomy week, we enjoyed a long three day weekend with Daddy complete with warm sunshine. To enjoy the weather, we walked over to the pond to try out our new fishing rods from Christmas! I loved reeling my green fish back in after it "plopped" into the water! Mommy was impressed that I was able to cast the line a few times on my own!
I have found that more and more these days, Mommy and Daddy let Cora and I just play on our own. We play really well together, for the most part. We sometimes play separately in the playroom, other times we run around and explore other activities in other rooms. One day, Mommy found us looking at our picture books in Cora's room. We love looking at pictures!
An extra morning with Daddy this weekend!

Fun Times Indoors

I ask everyday if we can play outside. And many times the answer is no. It's either too cold or raining. Luckily when the rain stops we occasionally get out for a walk. The other day we went to feed the ducks at the pond. They were so hungry and starved for attention that they couldn't even wait for me to rip off break to throw at them, they just bit it out of my hand! When we aren't going for quick jaunts around the block, we go to the gym where Cora has been taking a KidzFit class. After taking Cora a few times, Mommy said that I could go to my own KidzFit class. I have gone twice so far. The big room and all the kids is somewhat overwhelming but I think I'll get used to it eventually. The class is fun, but I honestly have just as much fun goofing around the house with Cora. One day, Mommy let us wear our boots in the house. Naked "booty" time was fun!
I started school again this week too, so I look forward to the coming weeks of fun at school with Ms Tracey!

Happy New Year!

A car!
Happy New Year! It's 2015 and I'm glad because Happy New Year is really fun to say...until I revert back to telling everyone that it's not Christmas anymore. Christmas did keep coming however. We left on New Years Eve for our trip up to Pennsylvania. I was really well behaved for our trip. When we arrived it was Christmas at Grammie and Gramps! We had lots of great presents to open. I got a big car to drive, some clothes, a new wallet and some fun underwear! I loved my presents; but even better than the presents was the train under the Christmas tree! Grammie taught me how to use the remote to make it stop and go! I had a blast playing with the train! We also got to go down into the basement from time to time to pick out new cars and trucks from the magic box! And of course, I spent plenty of time driving new trucks around the floor at Grammie and Gramps' house.
Driving the train under the Christmas tree!
After "Christmas" was over, we celebrated New Years! Grammie gave Cora and me noise makers that our Great Grandfather Pupo used on New Years. We ran around the house making noise and yelling, "Happy New Year!" in our pajamas.
Campfire!
Side by side!
Miss Sweets!
Our first day of the new year was cold. We stayed inside and played with our new toys, decorated cookies and watched movies! Thankfully, the day after stayed sunny and warmed up a bit so we could enjoy a trip down to camp! Camp was lots of fun! I enjoyed driving the side by side, standing by the fire, petting Miss Sweets, and drinking hot chocolate. When we went up the road to visit Miss Sweets, we drove in the side by side singing, you guessed it, Jingle Bells! This year I wasn't afraid of Miss Sweets. In fact, I liked petting her! It was so much fun running around at camp, the afternoon went way to quickly. Thankfully, this trip to camp will be remembered fondly as the one where Cora and I took it upon ourselves to put our shoes on and run outside to see the fire without anybody realizing it. We enjoyed dinner there, then soon after we drove home for bed.
The next day was cold and rainy so we stayed inside. We had a visit from Uncle Matt, Nicole and Connor. Conner sang Jingle Bells with us! Unfortunately, the next day we had to go home. The trip home wasn't as easy because I was so tired from all the activities, but we made it back having had a great start to the new year! 2015 here I come!
