A Roaring Good Weekend!

We had special visitors this weekend - Grammie and Gramps! I knew they were coming, but I wasn't prepared for them to surprise me picking me up after school! What a nice surprise! We enjoyed an afternoon together playing games and spending time together until we picked Cora up at the bus stop. We got to play with the new toys and activities that Grammie and Gramps brought us until we had dinner followed by a yummy dessert that Daddy made. On Saturday we hat a late breakfast and then we left for the Wings Over Wayne air show!! I was so excited to go because we would get to see jets (ships I called them) do cool maneuvers in the sky! We finally arrived there after parking the car and a long bus ride, but it was worth it. We got to go in some helicopters, airplanes and look into the cockpit of a F-15 fighter jet. I was brave enough to ask the air force pilot questions about his plane. I liked the F-22 Raptor show, and I liked the flare decoys that the F-15 jets were shooting in their show. Then, we finally saw the Blue Angels! Were they ever cool! With my earplugs in, I thoroughly enjoyed watching them. But, when meeting one of the pilots, I made it clear that I did not want to fly one of those jets. High five to that!!

The show had a profound effect on me though, for the next few days I was buzzing my play airplanes around the house and constantly rebuilding my plane Lego set. On Sunday, we spent the day with Grammie and Gramps while Mom and Dad went out for the day. We went strawberry picking and had a blast playing badminton in the backyard. After dinner on Sunday, I had an early birthday celebration with Grammie and Gramps, so I got to open the presents they brought for my birthday. I got my birthday t-shirt, some cool socks and a Bob the Builder sand modeling set! It was cool and definitely made for a great weekend!

Pre K Graduate!!

Celebrating my birthday at school!
I am officially done with preschool! Oh I'm off to Kindergarten yes I am, ya-hoo! Oh I'm off to Kindergarten yes I am, ya hoo, Oh I'm off to Kindergarten, I'm off to Kindergarten, oh I'm off to kindergarten yes I am ya-hoo!!! It was a great year of school, and I mad
e such great progress, notably I was selected by my teachers to lead everyone in standing for the Pledge of Allegiance. Mom and Dad were surprised when right after we assembled into the gym, I walked up to the front next to my friend John who was holding the American flag. Then, I lifted my arms and said, "Everybody stand up for the Pledge of Allegiance." The end of school program included the songs, "Open My Eyes" and "We are The Church." My voice could be heard loud and clear as I sang every word!

A Special Visitor at School

I was very excited leading up to the Moms and Muffins celebration at my school. On the Friday morning before Mother's Day, Mom stayed with me at school after drop off and enjoyed some breakfast with me while I gave her a special gift of a flower pot planted with seeds. I was disappointed because my seeds sprouted after careful watering, and they were about 1/2" tall when they just died all of a sudden. I was so upset about my seeds, but what really matters is that I really love my Mom!

A Seat Fit for a Big Boy

Cora's creative chair
Mom's pumper chair
Ever since Easter, I have had a nice desk for all my Legos, but I don't have a chair to actually sit at my desk. Cora at one point made me a chair that I could use to sit at my desk. We were going to buy a chair that I put stuff in, but we couldn't find any on the computer that would work just right. Then, one day, Mom just remembered that she still had the chair she used when she was a kid. So, she gave it to me and I LOVE it! The chair goes up and down, I call it the pumper chair. It's perfect for my desk and I'm excited to use it now.
On Friday, we got a huge delivery of mulch. I had a front row seat watching the truck dump the huge load into our driveway. I was a huge help in spreading the mulch by using my wheelbarrow. I enjoyed it so much, when I woke up first thing on Saturday morning I asked when we could go outside and spread mulch! That night after we got all cleaned up, we went to a dinner party at Cathy and Adam's house. It was nice to see Adam and I had a good time, especially when we went out in the backyard to play glowing Bocci ball!!
