My Second Easter

Easter this year was spectacular! I was able to partake in everything: the egg activities, church activities, candy eating, dinner eating, present opening. Plus, we got to celebrate with Grammie and Gramps! They arrived on Friday just as we were preparing to color our eggs. Gramps helped me do a great job with coloring my eggs. I colored mine blue and yellow - two of my favorite colors. Unfortunately it was rainy on Saturday, but that didn't stop us from having a good time together. On Easter Sunday, before church we got to open presents from the Easter bunny and hunt for eggs inside the house! Cora and I made quick work of the egg hunt this year! After that, we dressed up and went to church. There were lots of people so there was plenty to see, which kept me busy.
Thankfully the weather had improved so we got to play outside a bit, and have another egg hunt outside! Cora got a bicycle from the Easter Bunny, so now we can both ride our cycles outside! I know what we will be doing all next week when she is off of school!

Supermarket Shopper

Every time we pass by the supermarket in the car, I'm ready to shop. Unfortunately, we only go once a week. So, I have to enjoy my time in the supermarket as much as possible when I shop with Mommy on Friday mornings. Recently, she has been letting me push the cart on my own! I love it! Thankfully, for Mommy's sake, I let her put everything in the cart - I don't sneak anything in that we shouldn't buy!
We've had to stay inside quite a bit the past week because the pollen is so bad, but luckily it rained one day and we were able to make it out to see the daffodils that we planted in the fall!

My First Bunny Encounter

Well, my first introduction to the Easter Bunny was not pretty. It was a fabulous Saturday morning. Sunny, breezy and just a faint chill in the crisp spring air. We took a nice family walk to the big park for the annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt. All of the eggs were set out, ripe for the grabbing as little children waited excitedly for the go ahead to hunt down the eggs. Only 30 seconds left. Then, all of a sudden the big creepy Easter bunny walks right up in front of us, in middle of all the eggs, dancing. As the lady yelled, "Go!" I was frozen in place as all the other children started scooping up eggs. In shock from the bunny who was STILL dancing right in front of me and Mommy and Daddy trying to shoo me forward, I couldn't budge. Once all the commotion got in the way of the dancing bunny, Daddy finally helped me gather my eggs. From then on, things went well. I found lots of eggs, some with lollipops, others with rubber duckies. We did some hula hooping, got some cookies and enjoyed the beautiful day. After a bit at the park, we set home towing my Easter loot in the wagon behind me. The Easter hunt was over, just as soon as it began. With Easter only two weeks away, I hope to forget all about the big bunny at the park, and enjoy the Easter season.
To get the Easter season started, I went to church this morning with everybody. I behaved myself very well and look forward to attending more often.
