Field Trip

This week Mommy took me on a field trip! It was great because we could walk there, although the entire walk to get there I asked where exactly we were going and how we were going to get there. We finally made it to our destination: a front row seat to a construction site! On that specific day, there was a digger filling dump trucks with lots of dirt! It was fun watching the dump trucks drive down in the hole, fill up (when the digger was done filling it up he would beep twice) then drive up out of the hole, dump the dirt, and repeat! One of the bulldozers drove right in front of us and waved! I was having such a great time I didn't want to leave.
Every night when it's time to put pajamas on after bath I get a little crazy. One night I was running around in my socks and underwear! I love the socks I got for Christmas! They are great for cuddling with Daddy. I have mentioned before that I love dressing in my hat and gloves when getting ready to go outside. I must have an accessories fetish, between socks, hats and gloves. At school we made a special hat, well actually it was Sampson's hair. We made it because we were talking about Sampson, who couldn't cut his hair so he could be powerful. I look awfully powerful in my hair, don't I?

Cuddling with Daddy, wearing my socks!

I Can Stand!

Well, of course, everyone knows I can stand. But I can stand to pee now! It took several attempts with Daddy showing me the ropes but I finally connected! Into the toilet that is! Like any typical boy, I do talk about pee, poop and toots an awful lot. This will just add to the pee talk.
The pretty snow!
We've had plenty of time inside the house recently because the weather has been wintery. I say that because we definitely did not get the snow that we expected when we woke up early Friday morning. The weekend before, we got beautiful snow, but it didn't stick. This week we got freezing rain that stuck, like 1" of ice stuck! It was disappointing that we could not go out and throw snowballs and build a snowman, so all we could do was entertain ourselves indoors. We watched some movies, played games and legos, cuddled and waited until we could go outside. When we did finally go out, it was just really icy and there wasn't much to do. So I guess for now, I'll just keep playing inside and practice my aim. The next thing on my list to learn: blow my nose.

Back to School

Now that school has started again, I'm back into my morning routine. "Mom, do I have to go to school today?" If yes, I reply with an awwww, and if no, I reply with yes!! This routine isn't necessarily indicative of how I really feel because I really do like school. I enjoy my friends and all the activities. Plus, my favorite thing right now is dressing up to go outside. When it's time to go somewhere I'm always first to run to the door and start putting on my gloves, puffy coat and Batman hat! When Mommy says I don't need all my accessories, it's upsetting. I just look so good in my hat and gloves!
I'm definitely missing Cora during the day now that she is back in school too. It's always an adjustment being without her. We still manage to have fun when she gets home or in the mornings before school. We play in her bedroom, play cars together, hide in her closet and build clubhouses out of blankets. Of course, I need to have someone to play with when Mommy has things to do. She found out the other day that I have a new imaginary friend named Johnny. I told her that he stays in the attic and he goes to school just like me! He doesn't mind if I act completely silly. For example, one day when I was getting ready for a shower, I decided it would be funny if I pulled my pants up as far as they would go. Everyone else was entertained by my silliness!

Camp 2016!

We camped right into 2016!! Well, not actual camping, but as close as we are going to get right now. Ever since we started having fires in the backyard, Cora and I have been begging to go camping. And, now that Santa brought us flashlights and sleeping bags for Christmas, we are all set. On New Years Eve, Daddy set up a huge tent in the playroom, one that the whole family can fit in. Thankfully we had lots of toys from Christmas to keep us busy because it was raining and yucky outside. In the evening we played board games and got our campout ready. We brought our sleeping bags, pillows, one friend and our flashlights into our tent in preparation for bed. We told some stories then went to sleep. It was so fun sleeping as a whole family together in the tent. In the middle of the night, Mommy and Daddy left the tent and went to bed, but Cora and I made it all night. At one point, Cora needed to go to the bathroom and when Daddy came into the playroom, he found me me flashing my flashlight up into the roof of the tent. There was just so much excitement, no reason to sleep. Plus, little did we know someone was making a special delivery to us in the middle of the night. Yes, that's right! When we came down for breakfast I found two gifts sitting on the table in the family room! Santa came again!! He brought me a really cool gift called play foam! That stuff is so much fun to play with! Hours of fun!
We've known for a few weeks that Mike, Sandy, Kaitlyn and Lauren were coming for a visit. I asked every day when they would come. And finally they arrived! We had a great time during their visit. We watched Penn State play football (I saw Joey!) ate some food and played outside, enjoying a nice sunny day! I love when Mike comes to visit, he and I have fun together! I think he really got a kick out of me on my digger too!
