I AM FOUR!!!!

I told Mommy and Daddy I felt like I was four as I walked down the steps this morning. And, so, here I am, one year older. For my special day I wanted to go swimming since it was hot outside and the outdoor pool was open. In the morning, Mommy took me to the pool and we had the pool all to ourselves; it's like everyone knew it was my special day! Up until two days before my birthday I told Mommy that I wanted a truck cake for my birthday, then at the last minute I changed my mind. I decided on a boat cake. Boy, am I glad I changed my mind because I loved my "party boat" cake! I ejoyed the  homemade mac and cheese I requested for dinner followed by opening presents and eating cake. Now it's time to play with some of my gifts!
Hopefully with this milestone, I'll enter a new phase of sleeping through the night, eating faster, and not crying as much. I think I can handle it!

Pre-K 3 Graduate!

Today I graduated from preschool 3! At our end of year show, I just stood there with my hands on my face, fiddling with my nose because I was too nervous to sing "Work and Play' but I was just overwhelmed with excitement. (Maybe I was a bit nervous too). School is done, the summer has started and my birthday is tomorrow. After my show, Mommy and Daddy took me out for lunch to celebrate! That made me feel so special!
Here are some samples of my work throughout the school year. I'd say I've come a long way!

Writing practice. It says: POOP, PEE FART, ADAM

I can write Cora's name!

Weekend Festivities

On Friday, we picked Cora up early from school and we went strawberry picking! For me, that meant eating fresh strawberries while watching everyone else pick. They were delicious! We didn't go to the farm with all of the fun activities to pick strawberries, but it didn't matter because the next day I went to a birthday party at a farm! This was my first ever birthday party because Scarlett, my friend from school invited to me to her party. There were lots of fun activities there, face painting, carriage rides, a playground and sheep!
Later that weekend, we made ice cream with Daddy! Cora and I were running around and jumping up and down with excitement waiting for the ice cream to be ready. It never really turned solid, so we had cream with fresh strawberries. It was still good so I didn't care!

Weekend Visitors

Mommy and Daddy went out of town this weekend and guess who came to stay with us? Grammie and Gramps! As always, the days were chock full of activities and the fun never stopped. Well, until Mommy and Daddy came home. While they were gone, I spoke to them several times on my car phone and they hung up on me! Can you believe that?!? They must have been too busy for us. Little did they know they missed out on all the fun. Thank you for a great weekend, Grammie and Gramps!

Mother's Day Festivities

This year, Mommy chose a wonderful way to celebrate her special day - by inviting the whole family to a Durham Bulls game! It was an unforgettable game. As soon as we sat down at our seats, I asked when I was going to see the bull's eyes light up. At the bottom of the third inning a Bulls player hit the ball deep into right field and it bounced into the stands near us. The ball bounced back onto the field where the outfielder picked it up. Daddy waved his hands like crazy and the outfielder threw him the ball!! I was somewhat confused why all of that happened, but Daddy explained to me that it was the first time he had ever gotten a ball at a game! Then, the bull's eyes lit up and his tail wagged. I no longer had to ask when the bull was going to light up, well not at least until two innings later. What a great Mother's day, it was so nice to celebrate her today!

Springtime Fun

It's been a good spring, I'm still doing well at school (still get a sticker EVERY day because I'm such a good boy) and on my days off I enjoy the weather and fun activities. On Mommy and Daddy's Anniversary we took a special trip to Pullen Park then surprised Daddy at work with balloons. One day, Daddy took us to an Arbor Day festival at a park where we built a bird house, went on a walk to learn about trees and picked up seedlings for our yard. All of the animals know it's spring too. We've seen ducklings and goslings at the pond on our way to play at the park.
My newest favorite work is gigantic. But I make it extra special by saying "GiMANtic!"
