A Turtle Named Groozzly

Over the weekend we took a day trip to the beach! North Carolina Beach!! It's my favorite! We spent most of the day splashing in the waves. And every time a wave splashed into me, I giggled! There were only a few occasions when I got knocked over or water splashed into my face enough to upset me. Thankfully, Daddy was wearing a shirt where I could get my "recovery" as I called it. In other words, I would wipe my face and continue the guttural giggles with every wave. There were lots of surfers because beyond the small waves were some very big waves! It was cool! When we were exhausted from all the jumping and splashing, we went out to eat at my favorite restaurant and as I always do after a day at the bach, I inhaled my dinner.

Today as Mommy and I were picking weeds in the back yard we came across some interesting critters. As Mommy cleaned out soil from the pots, a big frog squeaked as she grabbed him. Later on, as she was pulling at a big pile of weeds, she discovered a box turtle! It was cool. I named him Groozzly. He was cool, but he didn't stick around l
ong. I had an appointment at the dentist and by the time we got home he had vanished! I have very clean teeth by the way!

Sleeping Like a Pro (Almost)

I did it! I made it to seven nights! My reward for sleeping through the night 7 nights in a row was a cup of soda! The day I made it to seven I requested "brown" soda for my treat. Boy, did I enjoy it! But then, I think Mommy and Daddy regretted giving my treat after dinner because I didn't sleep so well that night. I'm on my second, 7 day challenge now because after completing my first challenge, I wasn't doing so well. My next milestone reward is ice cream! I can't wait! But I must sleep!
We received a package in the mail from Grammie recently. In it were some goodies along with the carnival week banner that you can stick your head through to take pictures. A few days after we got back from our trip to Pennsylvania I told Mommy that we forgot to take our picture in the banner, but now we can! Daddy hung it in a doorway and we took all sorts of fun pictures with me. Every day I ask when we can take more pictures with it!

Big Big Bed!

My room is finally complete! I love it! I have a big bed! All to myself!!! A few weeks ago after Daddy took the rails of my (what I thought was a) big bed he said that if I kept doing a good job sleeping that I would eventually get a bigger, better bed. Well, that day finally came last weekend! I had a few rough nights at first, but now that I'm used to it I'm sleeping wonderfully in my bed. Daddy even put me up to a challenge: if I sleep 7 nights consecutively in my bed he will let me have a cup of soda! I've been wanting to have a cup of soda for a long time and I'm going to work hard for that goal. So far, I've made it 4 nights; only 3 left to go! 

Gym and swim class (starting to swim with Jim)

Gym and swim is going great this session. I haven't cried once and as soon as class is over I'm asking Mommy when I can go back. There's a lot more kids in my class now and I have fun splashing on the steps when waiting my turn.
