Big Bath!

I am a growing boy - now big enough to use the big bath! All the time spent dreaming bathside has come reality - on days when I need a bath I get to join Cora with all of her toys! Aside from relaxing in the big bath, I have also been expanding my vocabulary. While I still say "da da", I have been saying "oh" quite a bit. Sometimes when I eat or when I swing at the park I "oh oh" in enjoyment.
Mommy has also started to notice that I have been improving my walking style in the past weeks as well. Instead of walking with my left foot out to the side, I can face it forward now - I am very close to walking, I can feel it.

Solid as a brick - showing off my big belly, leg rolls and new shoes!

Still no teeth for me. It doesn't stop me from eating though. I really like banana. Mommy cuts me small pieces that I can pick up and feed myself. If she didn't stop giving it to me, I could probably put a whole banana down myself. I love eating. I have been referred to as solid, a brick, big guy - this must mean I am growing well. That will all be determined at the doctor tomorrow, so we shall see when I update you next time!

Curious Cutie

Standing at the "bar" and "putting out the vibe"
I am really making my way around the house these days.  I explore everything and anything that Mommy allows (or that I can get into without Mommy or Daddy seeing).  For instance, I really have a fascination with the toilet, but for some reason it's off limits.  When someone goes in the bathroom with Cora, I stop anything I'm doing and I make a b-line to the bathroom. I love watching Cora get her baths and tugging on the shower curtain. Standing around at the coffee table, or as Daddy puts it "Adam's standing at the bar putting out the vibe" is also another one of my favorite past times. Aside from eating some different flavors of puffs, I haven't been eating a whole lot of new foods.  However, Cora has fed me a few times and I don't think she is very good.  She thinks she is good, but most of the time she either forgets and leaves the spoon in my mouth or pulls it out before I can get the food. Whenever she gets close to me I cringe and hope that she prefers to go back and feed her Baby Sara. I absolutely love sitting in my high chair. Even if I have already finished and I am waiting for everyone else to eat, I just love sitting up and looking around at the world from a normal point of view than from the floor.

Daddy's Boy

Well, it's official - I am much more a Daddy's boy than a Momma's boy.  I made this clear when my first official sounds were Da Da.  The first time I did it was the week after MLK day.  Mommy thought it was just babbling, but I kept doing it day after day until she would realize that I am a Daddy's boy.  When Daddy holds me I like to scream too - my happy screams, not mad screams.
Walking and eating are going well too.  I started walking so much, Mommy and Daddy finally got me some new shoes.  I think they are cute, but they are hard to walk in because I like to walk on my tippy toes.  I'm sure I will get used to them eventually.  Until then, I'll just keep standing at tables or hang off of Mommy to get used to standing on my feet.
