Art for Me!

Cora is constantly bringing drawings home from school for Mommy and Daddy. But, she has never brought anything to me until...now! I complained to her and she finally delivered! I was so excited that she made pictures of me at school and put my name on it. Hopefully when I am her age I will be as good as her!
Today I surprised Mommy when out of the blue I said, "Frogs are amphibians." After a second, she realized that I learned about frogs at school, and she was proud of me that I am such a good listener. I must get that from Daddy!

Azalea Adventure

Earlier this week Daddy had to go out of town for work, so Mommy took us on a small adventure to Raleigh to see some pretty gardens and visit the Pullen Park. I always enjoy new things. Speaking of new things, I hope when I turn 16 and I can drive, Mommy and Daddy will buy me my own yard waste truck and blue trash truck for me to drive. I'll drive it with all my friends too! Since Cora has been talking a lot about driving when she gets older, I figure I can dream big and talk about it all the time too!

A New Ride

This week our old neighbors (Anderson as I call them) came to visit us. They brought us a tricycle! I have another bike to ride now! Mommy and Daddy didn't think I was getting the hang of pedaling with my other bike so I needed to prove to them that I am very capable of pedaling, which I am! We had a fun week of riding bikes and spending time outside. I really like when our neighbor, Ethan comes over to visit. He doesn't mind that I talk to him constantly (I think he gets a kick out of it because he always laughs about how I repeat everything I hear). Because Ethan plays baseball in little league, he was teaching me how to hit the ball with my bat. And I am getting better at it now! He also helped me with the new sticker book that came in the mail from Mimi and Papa. It's fun being able to play with Cora, but sometimes I get sick of playing with girly things and pushing strollers around so I'm glad Ethan comes over to play from time to time. I wish he didn't have to go back to school...

Back to School

It's so weird. This past week Cora was out of school. But I was in school. Actually, she came to school with me! Tracey said that I was much more talkative and less reserved with Cora at school with me. She was a helper that day, although all she really did was help ME the whole time! I enjoyed having Cora home for the week too. I had someone to play with ALL the time! We rode bikes, went to the park, played in the sandbox, goofed around in our cape costumes and sang Let It Go tons of times with the mircophone! The best part of the week was driving downtown to visit Daddy and go out to lunch with him! I enjoyed walking downtown (even though I stepped in a huge, pollen filled, filthy puddle). There's so much to see and do. We found a fountain that would squirt water when you waved your hand in front of a sensor! It was a blast! I wasn't even bothered by the water when it sprayed me in the face - it was such a windy day my hat blew off my head! I wish we could go to see Daddy every week! I guess I'll have to wait until we are on another break from school.

Easter Time!

Okay, so the Easter Bunny ended up coming on Sunday, contrary to what I told Mommy and Daddy. I was certain he was going to come on Tuesday. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter which day he came because we will be enjoying our Easter presents for a while. We got sand toys, baseball mitts, balls, bats, sandals, chairs, and lots and lots of candy!! The weather was beautiful during the day so we got to go outside and test our new bat and ball. After playing for a while, Daddy hid some eggs and we had an egg hunt in the backyard!
On Good Friday, we colored our Easter eggs! They were such pretty colors and the eggs tasted delicious in egg salad which I tried for the first time this year! I kept telling everyone I was having a great Easter! I even told Mommy the day after Easter I was having a good Easter! Cora didn't let me forget the reason for the season so she taught me how to make the sign of the cross before our ham dinner. I did a really good job with it!
We got to see all of our family on the computer during the day. We opened our presents from grandparents and saw cousin Saige. Even though Easter is over, I have taken some great things with me from the holiday - including lots of candy!

HAPPY EASTER!!

Shopping with Mommy

During my break from school, it seems like I've been doing a lot of shopping with Mommy. Sometimes it's fun, and others it's just a pain. One day, she made it fun by letting me wear my Batman cape to Target! Everyone that saw me there loved me and knew EXACTLY who I was - BATMAN!! We've been making a lot of trips to Lowe's and the paint store for the most recent project which is changing the colors in the kitchen. Because all of the tables were being used to paint cabinets, we got to eat at a table Daddy called the cafe table! It was a fun change! The kitchen was a big change too! I like the new colors a lot! Speaking of change, we saw some of our butterflies emerge from their chrysalises yesterday! It was so cool seeing how they have changed over the winter. It was a long wait, and Daddy didn't think they would ever come out, but they did! Now they have flown away and who knows where their next adventure will be!
