Don't Say That

It's the saying du joir! "Don't Say That!" You can not be talking at all, you could be singing or you could be coaxing me to eat a meal, and that's what I'll tell you. DON'T SAY THAT!
We went off on another berry picking adventure this weekend. We picked (I ate) blueberries this time. There were still some strawberries left and a few of the blackberries had ripened, so I got to enjoy all three. Blueberries were the easiest to eat, but I will say I definitely enjoyed the blackberries as long as Mommy would pick one for me. I enjoyed a long ride in the airplane at the farm after picking and of course, the ice cream as well.
I've recently been trying to catch up with Cora on my swinging abilities. They are slow, but I am much more comfortable on the big kids swing now and I'm hoping in the next year or so Cora will teach me the art of pumping. Mommy is surprised at how high I'm willing to go on the swing and as long as we keep visiting the park and practicing, I'll be able to go higher and higher! I got to go for a walk with Mommy this evening and she took me to the pond so I could fish. I love standing on the bridge and holding my stick in the water watching for fish, turtles and frogs. On this outing I was especially friendly to all the fauna around the pond. I said hello to the swans numerous times!

Summer Fun!

Summer fun = beach trips, pool time, bicycle riding, walks to the park, and story time at the library (with Cora). So far, I have gotten a great dose of all those activities. We kicked off the summer with visits from some of my most favorite people - first Grammie and Gramps stopped in for a day visit (the best part is I got to celebrate my birthday AGAIN) and then Papa stopped in two mornings later for a visit. I have been noticeably better at adjusting to visitors, rarely crying anymore.

Last weekend we took a trip to the coast where we visited the NC Aquarium (the turtles were my favorite) and then relaxed at the beach in the afternoon after a picnic lunch. I'm still not a huge fan of the waves so I spent most of my time laying in the sand or relaxing in the chair. Perhaps more trips to the swimming pool will help me become more comfortable around the loud water sounds. The last trip to the pool I really advanced my ability to jump in the water. I literally step right into the water - just as long as Mommy or Daddy are standing there to catch me. I giggle with excitement every single time. Maybe one of these pool visits Mommy will bring her camera so she can catch me in action.

Baseball, Bulls and Booms!

This past week I attended my first baseball game! We went to see the Durham Bulls! My most favorite things about the baseball game were walking up the steps at the stadium, looking at the big bull in the outfield and watching fireworks after the game. Notice, none of those actually included watching baseball. I was so excited that I talked the whole way to the game in the car, mostly asking when we would get there and if all of us would be watching baseball. I tried the same thing on the way home, however I got tired shortly after our drive began and fell asleep. I'm thinking we have to go back again sometime because I was in the bathroom when the Bulls got a home run and I missed the bull smoking and blinking his eyes. If I talk about it enough, I'm sure I'll get Mommy and Daddy to give in somehow.
