Making Messes

Not to brag or anything, but I have become an exceptional crawler and although I showed signs of walking long ago, I don't believe their is any reason to walk anytime soon. Usually after dinner I briskly crawl back and forth between the bathroom and the family room, most of the time giggling, smiling, huffing and puffing. My smile gets cuter by the moment with my teeth showing more and more.
I still have an obsession with the book shelves. I absolutely can't get enough of the books, or rather, pulling them off the shelf. Occasionally I will actually sit and read one to myself, but for the most part I enjoy sitting amongst a pile of books.

My Second Tooth and Second Haircut!

Now that both my bottom teeth are sprouting, Mommy took the chance to capture a photo of it. It was not the easiest photo to pose for though. Some days my gums bother me more than others, but I find that chewing on things I'm not supposed to chew gives me the most gum relief. What bothers me more is the hair in my eyes. Thankfully, Mommy cut my hair again and I love my new haircut! I can see without hair whisping into my eyes. It's very important that I can see out the window because I still absolutely love pointing at birds out the window. Daddy thinks it's funny that I point and occasionally he will play along and touch his pointer finger to mine and say, "ET." That makes no sense to me, but I play along with it. All I am really doing is holding my finger up to practice for my first birthday which is just over a month away! Hopefully by then I will be confident enough to walk because I'm still so shaky on my feet that I can only make it 3 steps before I want to sit down!

Lazin' Around in the Swing

I spent a lot of time this week in the swing in the backyard. Even though I have to put up with my crazy sister spinning and twirling me around when she pushes, I wait until she gets distracted and walks away so the swing just slowly rocks me and I can enjoy myself. I am still practicing on my feet - I haven't stood much on my own recently, I spent more time walking along furniture. Usually when I eat my afternoon snack, I like to pick up a Cheerio, then take a lap around the table, then repeat it until my pile of Cheerios is gone, or Cora has eaten all of it. On some days, I wake up early from my nap just so I can get alone time with Mommy or Daddy. They will cuddle with me or pay attention to me when I practice walking. They better soak it up because I'm growing fast! Right now my head is so big, sometimes when I'm sitting on the floor playing, I'll just lose balance and topple over. Luckily, I did enough falling when I was learning to stand that my head has hardened a bit and I don't get upset!

Look Mom, No Hands. But I Have Teeth!

This weekend marked two great milestones for me! I am a growing boy!!!

With my lower right tooth popping through my gums, I get quite a bit of energy. Lately, I have been enjoying playing in Cora's castle house. I like to roll it over and crawl in and out of it. One morning, I dragged it all the way out of the playroom and into the hall! Mommy and Daddy are thrilled that I have not been too cranky with my teeth - I will try to keep it that way!

My 1st Easter!

Posing with my Easter gifts!
The Egg Hunt!

Found one!!!

I have waited almost a full year for Easter - it's the last big holiday before my 1st Birthday - and boy did I have a fun Easter! All of the talk of eggs, bunnies and candy got me very excited! And were there ever a lot of eggs. First, I got to watch everybody color real eggs, then a few days later, when I woke up from my nap there were eggs all over the house and Daddy helped me search for them and put them into a basket! I had such a good time with all the eggs. I also got some nice gifts from the Easter bunny too which made it an excellent holiday!

I have noticed looking out the window while I eat and during walks that there is a lot of bird and squirrel activity outside. It must mean that spring is here! I have learned my second word - bird. I like to point out the window and say "Buuurd." It doesn't really matter what I see out there, it all looks like birds to me! As I mentioned I see a lot during walks, even now moreso than before because Mommy started taking walks with the wagon. I love sitting in the wagon because I can turn around and see everything around me! It's not so bad when Cora pulls me, but I would rather Mommy do it.
