100 Days!

Today I am celebrating my 100th day at school! I have been talking about this day for weeks now! I can't wait to see what fun activities we do today (although I'm a little bummed because school was delayed for two hours!). More to come on that...
I've been doing really well at school. Mom and Dad are proud of what I have been able to accomplish this year so far. To celebrate that, and Cora's first reconciliation we went out to celebrate on Saturday night. The place we went was called Khanki and it was the coolest! The chef cooked our food in front of us! He did all sorts of interesting things while he cooked like make big flames, volcanos, and he even flicked a piece of chicken at us to see if we could catch it in our mouths!
Last week at school I also took my first AR test last week. It's a special test you take after reading a book to see how well you understood it. They are fun! And if you get enough points you get to visit the AR store and buy cool stuff! Here's some of my schoolwork from the past weeks:

Snow days

Its the end of the 4th week of January and we finally had our first full week of school since Christmas! Not long after our first dusting of snow, we got a doozie of a snowstorm. Two days after MLK Jr holiday, it snowed ALL DAY LONG! During the day as it was still snowing, we went outside to play in the snow. We finally built a big tall snowman and my favorite part was throwing myself into the 7" deep snow! Luckily we got so much snow, that school was cancelled the rest of the week; even one of our snow make-up days on Saturday was cancelled! Also, the snow doesn't melt that fast at our house, so we got to play in it, even when the weather got warm outside. It was so warm by the end of the weekend, we walked down the greenway and stopped under the bridge to play in the sand - not even wearing coats!
At school this week, I took in a bag of items for an All About Me presentation. I presented pictures of my family, me when I was a baby, me playing with my favorite thing to do (building Duple blocks at the moment) and I showed the class one of my favorite toys (my orca whale) and my favorite food (honey-nut cheerios). Aside from almost missing the bus one morning, it was a great week back at school although I kind of wish that I didn't have to go to school to learn. I think people should be born knowing everything so they don't have to learn!

Brrrrr!

It has been an interesting start to 2018. On Tuesday when we were supposed to start back at school, we had a 2 hour delay because it was cold. Then, on Wednesday we left school 2 hours early because snow was coming. When the snow finally came (in the middle of the night) all we got was a dusting of light fluffy snow. Thankfully, it was just enough for me to make a snow angel, something I have been wanting to do since Thanksgiving when I thought we might see snow when we went to St Marys. The snow didn't last long. It was gone by the afternoon, but the wind and cold persisted enough that school was cancelled again on Friday. I took the opportunity to paint some airplanes and build a really cool train track!

Merry New Year!

2018 is here! And it's definitely a Merry New Year, not Happy New Year as I like to say. The last few days of 2017 were certainly fun because Mimi and Papa came to visit. We got to show them all of our toys from Christmas. Plus we did some fun things. The first night they arrived, we went to Hillridge Farm to enjoy a huge Christmas light show. A hayride took us through the display and we saw everything from reindeer taking off with Santa's sleigh, an air strip, boats, and trains. After the hayride, we jumped on a giant pillow, had fun zooming down the big slide and swinging on barrel swings. It was cold, but I wasn't bothered a bit by it! We also took Mimi and Papa to Jellybeans, the roller skating rink! I was pleased to show them how well I am at skating now. They were great at helping me skate around the rink, but by the end I was doing just fine on on my own! What a fun way to finish the year and prepare for the year to come!
