Our trip to Mimi and Papa's house was awesome! I had been anticipating the plane flight for the week leading up to our trip (Mommy only told us a week before we were going so I would have anticipated it a lot longer had I known). I wore my Pilot in Training shirt on the airplane because I was so excited to be flying! My most favorite part was standing in the airport and looking out the window at our airplane. I also liked it when the pilots came out of the cockpit after our flight was over and high-fived me! Our flights were all safe and punctual, a bit bumpy, but that was kind of fun. Once we were in Austin, the fun began! Saige came over that afternoon so that we could go to the park, open Easter presents and decorate the house with our window stickers.

On Sunday morning, we drove to the Wildflower garden where we took pictures in the bluebonnets and explored some fun areas of the garden. I liked playing with the water pump near the stream until it sprayed me, then it wasn't fun anymore. I enjoyed climbing the statues and running through the fields. We went home for lunch and in the afternoon we rode bikes to the park. Saige let me ride her tricycle which I was pretty good at since I was used to my tractor at home. When I wasn't riding that, I was riding Saige's balance bike, which by the end of our visit, I got pretty good at riding. It was a fun afternoon at the park.
On Monday we visited Rodeo Austin!!! It wasn't the rodeo that Cora and I were expecting, but it was so much fun! We saw a Mexican cowboy called a Charro swing his lasso in every way imaginable on a horse named Hollywood. That was followed by the pig races! There were a couple of races. Before the race would start, the crowd would yell, "SoWeee!" and the pigs would run out to the starting gate. When the race started they would run around the track and the first pig would get an Oreo. After the pig racing, we went to another show that had monkeys riding sheep dogs! It was a little strange and I was confused by it, but it was entertaining for sure! Even crazier than that was the petting zoo that we walked around after that. Mommy was surprised that I even wanted to to go inside the fence, but I did. The first two times I went in she was holding me, but the third time I got down and petted a few goats and a pig. There were also llamas, cute kids (baby goats) that were barely a few weeks old, ducks, deer, donkeys, chickens and sheep all ready to be petted, but I was too scared to touch them. Near the petting zoo we saw how a cow gets milked! Now I know exactly where my milk comes from! We relaxed for a bit and listened to some live music then took a ride on the carousel before we had to leave. On the way out, we saw a monster truck! Was that ever cool!!!
On Tuesday we visited some parks around Austin. We went to Zilker park to play and have a picnic lunch, then we went to a sculpture garden along Lady Bird Lake and to wrap up our park day, we went to a small garden that was filled with peacocks! They had beautiful tails and colors and made very funny squaking noises. Luckily they weren't as friendly as the animals in the petting zoo so I wasn't so scared of them!
