My First Bunny Encounter

Well, my first introduction to the Easter Bunny was not pretty. It was a fabulous Saturday morning. Sunny, breezy and just a faint chill in the crisp spring air. We took a nice family walk to the big park for the annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt. All of the eggs were set out, ripe for the grabbing as little children waited excitedly for the go ahead to hunt down the eggs. Only 30 seconds left. Then, all of a sudden the big creepy Easter bunny walks right up in front of us, in middle of all the eggs, dancing. As the lady yelled, "Go!" I was frozen in place as all the other children started scooping up eggs. In shock from the bunny who was STILL dancing right in front of me and Mommy and Daddy trying to shoo me forward, I couldn't budge. Once all the commotion got in the way of the dancing bunny, Daddy finally helped me gather my eggs. From then on, things went well. I found lots of eggs, some with lollipops, others with rubber duckies. We did some hula hooping, got some cookies and enjoyed the beautiful day. After a bit at the park, we set home towing my Easter loot in the wagon behind me. The Easter hunt was over, just as soon as it began. With Easter only two weeks away, I hope to forget all about the big bunny at the park, and enjoy the Easter season.
To get the Easter season started, I went to church this morning with everybody. I behaved myself very well and look forward to attending more often.
