Even though I am still in school, Cora tracked out of school so we went to Texas for a trip. After packing up (I always act crazy and giddy), we left on Wednesday to begin our trip. As always, when we arrived at the airport, Mimi was waiting at the bottom of the escalator in baggage claim. We had dinner including Marcus, Tracie and Saige followed by a relaxing evening at Mimi and Papa's house in preparation for our side trip to San Antonio.

On Thursday morning we drove to San Antonio and visited the San Antonio zoo! I loved seeing the hippos, anteaters and giraffes. The hippos were especially funny because they would just sit in the water with their mouths pushed up on the glass. Then, when the hippos would swim back and forth I would yell at how strangely small their butts looked! I loved riding the carousel because I rode on an alligator! Then, to top off a fun trip to the zoo there was a train that went around Brackenridge park. It was the longest train ride ever! I got to sit next to Mimi on the train. When we were done at the zoo, we had dinner at a Mexican street food restaurant La Gloria (I really like Mexican cheese by the way) before heading to our resort hotel. When we got to the resort, they had s'mores for us to make on the big fire place. It was the perfect ending to a fun zoo day!

The next morning we woke up and went to Sea World. It was kind of like Animal Kingdom because we went to see shows and rode on rides. Best of all, there was an Orca roller coaster that must have been made just for me! I must have gone on it 6 times, it was so much fun! All of the shows were great, and the logging competition show was especially interesting. All of us went on a big boat ride, which I didn't really want to go on, but I managed to survive gripping onto Papa's arm.

Thankfully I think he blocked most of the splash at the bottom of the big hill. The most memorable part of the day (and NOW my most favorite) was most definitely the Orca show, One Ocean. I was sitting next to Mimi and Saige enjoying the whales breaching out of the water when all of a sudden, two of the biggest Orca's swung their tails and managed to soak Saige and me (and a little bit of Mimi since I was on her lap). We were the only ones that got soaked, and we were even sitting at the back of the splash zone! I was not happy when it first happened, but afterwards, I thought it was pretty cool that Shamu gave me a shower! I even tried to convince Mom and Dad that I didn't need to wash my hair because Shamu did it for me. After a spectacular ending to the day at Sea World, we went back to the resort, got cleaned up (I did end up washing my hair) and had dinner at a really fancy restaurant to celebrate Mimi's birthday. The mac and cheese I ordered came in a triangle bowl and it tasted good! I tried to be on my best behavior the whole time, and I think Mimi was proud of me.

After collapsing into bed and a good night's sleep, we woke up in the morning to another yummy buffet breakfast. I had a waffle shaped like a teddy bear and because it was Mommy's birthday, we ate red velvet cupcake for breakfast! When we were done, we got to go swimming! It wasn't really warm enough to go swimming, but the water was warm, so we could! Saige, Cora and I enjoyed jumping into the pool over and over again. We had to check out of the resort later that morning. From there, we drove to downtown San Antonio where we saw the Alamo and enjoyed a stroll along the riverwalk. That led us to the Mexican Market where there was music blasting and vendors selling lots of colorful Mexican goods. Daddy bought me a cowboy hat at one of the stores, which if I do say so myself, I look pretty darn cute with it. We ate lunch at Mi Terra, a huge Mexican restaurant. While we were waiting for our food, some Mariachi men came and sang a song to our table. AyayayAAAA! To celebrate Mommy's birthday, they brought a huge Tres Leches cake to the table for us to enjoy!

The next day we were back in Austin again for a day of relaxation. We went over to Saige's house and had a blast playing with her toys and having a fashion show with all of her dress up clothes. I was excited to see that she had an astronaut suit! I can see what I would be like as a real astronaut since I want to be one when I grow up! We needed a day to relax because the next day we drove into the Hill Country where we had a yummy Texas BBQ lunch at Cooper's BBQ in Llano, then went to Inks Lake State Park. Luckily the rain stopped and the temperature warmed for a nice hike on the rocks overlooking the lake. Saige, Cora and I led the way along the green trail. I of course was wearing my cowboy hat!

We had such a fun visit to Texas, each day was a different adventure filled with fun. The day we had to leave was Mimi's birthday. Papa made for her a video for her birthday so I got to see lots of pictures of her when she was little. We had a pancake breakfast with Mimi, then walked over to the park before we headed to the airport to go home.
