After lots of build-up, my 6th birthday was fairly low key. I got pancakes for breakfast, and a great dinner of my choice: chicken parmesan. I also had a delicious rocket ship cake (the shape that I requested) decorated by Cora! We were going to ride the train at Pullen Park to celebrate, but storms ruined our plans. Overall though, it was a great birthday week. What made it extra special is the Friday before, Mom and Dad came to visit me at school. They bought me a book for my birthday, which I opened in front of my friends, then Mom read it to everyone. It was a cool book called
Who Would Win: Komodo Dragon vs King Cobra. My friends really enjoyed it, as did I because it was a book about my favorite two kinds of animals! After the book was over, my friends sang to me, gave me some wishes, then everyone made a wish book for me. Plus, I wore my birthday shirt from Grammie to school, so everyone would know it was my birthday! It's hard to believe that I will only be a kindergartener for one more week! I guess my days of coming home in silly hats I've made at school are pretty much over! Boo!
