Holiday Happenings

I didn't realize there were so many holidays in February. First it was Groundhog Day followed by Valentines Day. Then, before I even settled down from all the candy, it's all of a sudden President's Day. I drew a spectacular picture of the Abraham Lincoln and George Washington at school.

Valentine's Day was fun too. We made boxes at school so we could collect Valentines from our friends. It was a good time. Not to mention when we got home, Grammie had made Valentines goody bags for us with activities and snacks. We finished the day with heart cakes that Mom made for us. 

This week we went on a super fun whole school field trip. We went to the PNC Arena where we watched the Carolina Hurricanes practice. It was like a big pep rally with lots of screaming. We even got little red towels that we could wave. At one point I looked up at the jumbo-tron and saw Cora on it! Now we just have one more week until track out. We've been getting all sorts of packages delivered to our house with things for our trip. First it was gloves, now it's goggles. We look like the skiers in the Winter Olympics. (Now I'm starting to hum the Olympic March tune that we hear every night we watch the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang). Now that it's warm outside we can play after school. I like to put on my goggles and run down the driveway pretending that I'm in a ski race!
